Covid-19 Notice Update

To our patients:

We are committed to doing our part in minimizing the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID19. As health care professionals, we must follow well-researched, scientific public health advice to help limit infections and slow the spread of COVID-19.

With that being said, our office will be closed starting on March 20th at 4:00 pm. Please be assured that we are still available to triage all urgent and emergent issues as well as help you with routine matters during this challenging time.

What does this mean?

  • If you are scheduled for an annual eye examination we will tentatively reschedule you starting May 11th.
  • If you need to replace glasses or contact lenses and need an extension on your prescription, please contact us and we will assist you in obtaining some until you can come in for a visit.
  • If you are running out of medication please contact us and we can transmit a refill electronically to your pharmacy.
  • If you have an ocular emergency we are, as always, available to help you at any time. Call 425-885-7363 and follow the prompts to leave an emergency message and one of the doctors will call you back. The doctor will make every effort to triage your concern over the phone, but may arrange a time for you to be seen at the clinic for an emergency visit.
  • We are researching telehealth visits. Stay tuned.

We have asked the majority of our staff to stay home until further notice to protect them, our patients and our city. Despite the financial and emotional hardships this will cause, we ask every one of you to do the same. During this period of social distancing and quarantine, we must all do our part by restricting activities outside the home except for getting medical care.

Important Insurance Changes

Dear patients, After much consideration, we are making a change with your Vision Service Plan (VSP). As of October 1, 2021, Redmond Eye Doctors is moving from "in-network" to "out-of-network". The continuing changes in your VSP insurance and restriction placed on us as providers has been frustrating. We considered many options, and the choice was clear. Being independent of managed care plans will allow us to provide the level of care you have come to expect from Redmond Eye Doctors, without restrictions or limitations from your vision insurance. While we may not be "in network" with VSP, we want to take care of you! We offer many discounts to patients when payment is made on the date of service.

  • Discounts on routine vision exams that includes a comprehensive eye health check and glasses prescription.
  • Discounts on glasses made with quality, independently owned frame manufacturers and lens labs. 20% OFF your first pair, 30% OFF all additional pairs.
  • Seasonal specials - like our Annual SunSational Sale and Computer Blues Sale.

We are happy to provide all the forms and receipts to self-submit for out of network reimbursement. Also, vision plans have no effect on medical visits such as dry eye treatments, diabetes exams and glaucoma checks. We are still part of most major medical plans.
